Internet Web database - $300/year Introductory Offer
An annual subscription for full access to the database at this site (updated monthly) is available for $300/year. A subscription provides a password for full access for one or several users in the same office or site; with user/site limitations to be mutually agreed upon (don't worry, we're reasonable). Subscriptions for multiple users, offices and sites are available at a nominal incremental cost. Your subscription includes a free copy of the book. In-House Database - $300/year Introductory Offer
The full database may be licensed for use at your site for $300/year. This includes the current version of the database and three quarterly updates. A basic license allows the database to be used by one or several users in the same office or site; with user/site limitations to be mutually agreed upon (don't worry, we're reasonable). Subscriptions for multiple users, offices and sites are available for a nominal additional cost. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns about the price for your situation. Your subscription includes a free copy of the book. The database is available in 1) standard PC/Mac text formats for uploading into your own database software; 2) as a Filemaker Pro database (including forms/scripts so it functions just like the Web database; 3) and in intranet/Web site format (each record a separate HTML record) ready for use with Excite, Alta Vista or other Web site indexing/search software. The database is about 14 megabytes in size as an ASCII text file and can be delivered by FTP, removable disk (Zip disk, SyQuest cartridge) or floppy disks.
Knowledge Express Data System (KEDS)
KEDS is an online vendor offering our database and other technology transfer-related databases through both conventional dialup and Internet Web access. KEDS offers a Professional package, allowing use of this and other specialized databases for an annual fee; transactional (pay as you go) access; and an annual subscription for $350 to just this database. with your subscription
678 pages, published April 1994, 2,800 records (vs. 4,100+ in the database), covering 1980-1993. Database users should have a copy of the book, particularly for the 250+ page Subject Index with its many cross-references and scope notes beyond those presented in the Microthesaurus. The book is included free with a database subscription (with a fee for postage and handling for customers outside or North America).
